MAIN DUTIES:

  • Prepare and maintain proper accounting records – Management Accounts
  • Assist Team Leader in the preparation of Financial Statements (FS);
  • Liaison with Clients, Auditors and authorities;
  • Tax filings (APS and Annual Tax Returns);
  • VAT workings and VAT returns;
  • Completion of FSC Surveys;
  • Filing of FS with the Authorities (Submission form and ODCS Filing)
  • Work together with the Accounting Team
  • Be up to date with changes in regulations affecting clients’ accounts – be well versed with MRA, FSC websites

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • ACCA Level 2 and/or a university degree holder in the field of accounting or finance.
  • At least 2 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of NAV Calculation
  • Have used accounting software
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong communication, accounting / analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, effectively prioritise and manage time
  • Understand the importance of providing quality service to clients
  •  

Reporting to the team leaders, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:
• Assisting with Administration, Incorporation of Companies
• Filing and Scanning of Corporate Documents
• Liaising with Bank for payment processing
• Liaise with the authorities such as the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and other relevant statutory bodies.

Qualification:
• Holder of a degree/master’s in law/Finance.
• Over 1-2 years’ experience in the offshore sector or banking sector.

Candidate profile:
• Proven track record in a similar position.
• Good knowledge of offshore sector.
• Ability to work in autonomy.
• Confident and ambitious person.

  • Maintaining a portfolio of Global Business Companies
  • Assisting in the set up and day-to-day administration of companies including GBC1, Trusts, BVI/Seychelles IBC’s
  • Liaising regularly with local bankers and government bodies such as the Mauritius Revenue Authority, Financial Services Commission and Registrar of Companies
  • Ensuring the systematic and timely filing of statuary and financials by circulating and participating in discussions with the accounting team, auditors and clients regarding technical issues under Mauritian law
  • Manage board meetings and minutes
  • Keeping track of client billing and following up on accounts receivable
  • Handling client queries professionally , ensuring client satisfaction and timely service delivery
  • Running of ad-hoc activities and queries

Experience Required

  • +3 years within the industry dealing with GBL, Trusts, Foreign Companies

Education

  • Tertiary  degree in Business Management or Finance/MBA
  • ICSA / STEP qualified will be an added advantage
